Fishing on the LOG DOG!

Mon, May 3, 2010 by nedleary | 0 Comments

Logs used in the production of my frames are “fished” from the bottom of the Cape Fear River where they have rested for over a hundred years! Sonar is used but knowledge of “honey holes” is also important.

Big CLAW got dumped in the river a couple hundred times the day I went but we got skunked so I turned my lens on the happenings on deck.

Yeah, this chain looks like its been enlarged in the photo…NOT so…the stuff they use is HUGE..,dangerous place…gotta watch out!

THE CLAW…plays with THE BUTCHER (see previous post) mean looking, nasty contraption.

Don, owner and operator of the Log Dog, great guy…done some of everything. Thanks for the cruise Don!
