“The Myth of Talent”

by Craig Tanner , a friend and mentor I’ve studied under on several photography workshops. If you are interested in improving at a hobby/craft/interest I strongly suggest you read it. It comes to mind because I’ve been mentoring/teaching a young lady obsessed with improving her photography. She works 10-12 hour days at the vet that cares for my lab Bella and THEN finds times to shoot! When? Before 7AM and after 7PM. I shoot then too…I just don’t then go to a full time job. She wants it.

Yesterday she brought 1500 images over she shot last week for me to look at. The smile that came across her face whenever I marked one as a keeper…priceless!!!

Is she talented? You be the judge. I can say she will become talented because she has the desire and determination…period. (See the Myth of Talent by Craig Tanner)

Here’s a bit of her work from the past few weeks some of which I’m selling for her on my website.

Her name is Allison Mise. I’d keep an eye on her.

Her work is beautiful. I too have that passion and am working full time at a day J O B while trying to perfect what I am doing. I feel her. No sleep and much to shoot every day. I hope she will prosper and grow to become the photographer she wants to be. And I am always looking for someone to shoot with. Have her look me up.

These are interesting. The close up statue is something as well as the tree and the birds in flight!!

Craig is a great mentor and teacher. I’ve enjoyed this “Myth of Talent” several times. A great set of images. I’m looking forward to seeing more Allison images.
