Will you marry me? (updated)
Mon, Apr 11, 2011 by nedleary | 44 Comments
What a shoot! Great guy from Charlotte contacts me wanting pictures of him proposing to his beautiful girlfriend…can do! Given there’s about 10-15 seconds of ACTION that has to go off flawlessly we preplan every step…scouting, angle of approach, my position and my alibi, flower photog! And yes it occurs to me that missing the shot is NOT an option so I strap on an extra camera, cards, lens cloths, batteries (for a 30 minute shoot)!
I’m wandering around the location “shooting flowers” when they walk by me…”Nice day today!”
And BAM! After the Charlotte Observer picked up the story, this video has been viewed over 5000 times!
“Now, WHAT just happened?!?!”
The location was crazy good!
“you know, I DO like the looks of that!”
Happy!
The full shoot is here.
One of those days that makes me really happy to be a photographer!
WECT TV has now covered the story as well as the Charlotte Observer

LOVE the video! How nice that all the family (even cousins) can share in such a special moment.
Do I notice a slight resemblance to her Grandmom Sue? Ward and Judy wish them much happiness.

I had to check out the video after seeing the story in the Charlotte Observer. My wonderful niece lives in Wilmington and will probably be needing a wedding photographer hopefully in the next couple of years if not sooner :) I will most definitely tell her about you and encourage her to look at this. Good luck to the beautiful couple. What a keepsake for them to have forever!

Magical…. you are an extraordinary artist. To see him gaze into her face at the end… he must be thinking “This will be my bride forever and ever. Wow.” That one was my favorite.
