What makes us unique
In addition to striving for out of the ordinary in all my work, Ned Leary Photography is “hands on” from start to finish with attention to detail and personal service you may not find elsewhere.
We are never simply “chronicling” a sunrise over the ocean or “recording” a family gathering or a private home. Instead we insist on the unexpected or the perspective never captured before.
All of my shoots start with hundreds of frames. Unlike some, my files never go directly from the camera to a disc and to you. Each picture is personally edited and optimized before the client will ever receive. Further requests for additional editing are always accepted.
The printing process is handled with equal care and except for very large prints I handle all printing in my studio (versus a commercial lab), often further adjusting each photograph for the optimum print.
Our process is more time consuming and requires more effort but the end product and the service are exceptional…I wouldn’t settle for less.

Ned Leary
After retiring from the Corporate world in ‘04, I began pursuing photography professionally.
I am self-taught and have photographed in the field with Scott Kelby, Moose Peterson, Bill Fortney, Joe McNalley and Craig Tanner in Death Valley, Glacier Nat’l Park (Montana), Cape Cod, Jekyll Island, GA and Big Bend Nat’l Park, TX.
I opened my studio in Wilmington, NC in 2009.
